Job Summary

As a Recruiter at L&S, you will collaborate with the HR team in the recruitment of employees. You will be responsible for assisting the HR manager ins both strategic planning and the execution of all recruiting initiatives including, but not limited to, maintaining and updating recruiting platforms, recruiting events, interviews, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Apply data-driven practices to develop and implement effective strategies for the recruitment of employees
  • Solicit and pursue referrals from business networks and employees
  • Apply data-driven practices to develop and implement effective strategies for the recruitment of employees for continuous and changing hiring needs.
  • Collaborate with HR/Development to create the profile of successful prospective employees
  • Attract suitable candidates through recruitment platforms, events, social media, and other strategies
  • Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in a previous recruiting role
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry, MS Office, jobsite portals and company software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of candidates
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Must be comfortable with some travel to recruiting events across the state of Texas
  • Experience with recruitment processes and databases preferred but not required
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new projects with a “can do” attitude Strong desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Perform the physical demands of the position – working indoors with long periods of time sitting; listening and speaking on the telephone; viewing monitor and workstation
